The city's soup kitchens are closed and street musicians could no longer play. "So we relied on an old Neapolitan custom -- lowering food baskets from our balcony," said street musician Angelo Piconea, who's doing this with his partner Pina Andelora. In their baskets is a card with the century-old of Dr. Guiseppe Moscati: "Chi pu metta, chi non pu prenda." Translated, it means, "Those who can, put something in, those who can't, help yourself." The message has triggered an explosion of solidarity.
