Timothy Harrison was down on his luck and was about to miss his high school graduation. On a recent Thursday, Timothy headed into work at Waffle House, where he had worked for about a month, instead of going to his high school graduation. According to his manager at Waffle House, Timothy said he didn't want to miss work and didn't have a ride to get to the ceremony. Co-workers at Waffle thought otherwise; they went and bought him some dress clothes and took him to the school to pick up his cap and gown. Then, they drove him across town for his graduation. You never know who you can touch or who you influence through one simple gesture, said Timothy's Waffle House co-worker Shantana Blevins. Timothy's momentum continued when Lawson State Community College offered him a full ride scholarship. He's now college-bound and a believer in the goodness of people.
