Vietnam's Hanoi Central Circus has stopped wild bear performances in its shows and given their four moon bears to the nonprofit Animals Asia to place in a sanctuary. It is one of 15 circuses in Vietnam to end animal performances over the past several years. In 2019, Animals Asia persuaded the circus to release two female bears. Now all six bears are enjoying retirement at the sanctuary, which is home to 186 bears. The charity has campaigned to end animal performances in Vietnam's circuses since 2014.
