Truffles is magic with little kids with severe eye problems. Rescued as a kitten four years ago, Truffles works with optician Danielle Crull at her practice, A Child's Eyes, where she works with infants, toddlers and children in elementary school. When Truffles hops up next to the child and tilts her head up so Crull can put on a pair of glasses, tears turn into smiles. Every day, Truffles chooses one of her nearly 20 pairs of unique glasses, and when a young patient has to temporarily wear an eye patch over the strong eye to help strengthen the weak eye, wears her own eye patch over her glasses - bringing gratitude from hundreds of parents of children with amblyopia or "lazy eye." Truffles is also the face of a fundraiser for the Children's Miracle Network, which helps fund treatment for millions of children across the US.
