James Harry is no stranger to the back alleys and mean streets of the Downtown Eastside in Vancouver, BC. Originally from the Haisla Nation in the north, he spent many years downtown before he and his wife got sober. They now dedicate their lives to helping others. He helps others get into treatment, and started a lunch program when the pandemic began. Now the original 12 salmon-sandwich lunches have grown to 280 distributed by volunteers each Wednesday, and corporate donations are pouring in. Harry says it's not just a free lunch. This is just a little bit of love to carry on their day to know they are not forgotten.
