Hackney's Bread and Roses gives women with refugee backgrounds support in rebuilding their lives by offering nine-week floristry training alongside English classes. Benefits to participating asylum-seekers include improving their vocational and English skills, providing a support network, and increasing their confidence to overcome challenges. Founders Olivia Head, Sneh Jani-Patel, and Liv Wilson were inspired to "help restore a sense of dignity and wellbeing for people from refugee backgrounds." They hope to expand outside of London during 2022.
