Two Santa Clauses happened to meet each other online and the two became friends. "Somehow he has the magical touch of lifting my spirits. I hope I do the same to him," says Gerry Ouellette, who has played Santa Claus professionally for over a decade. He is now a 66 years old and a retired police officer. Glen Ford, the other Santa companion, has played the character full-time since 2019 after working in the tech field. He is 69 years old. Both understand the challenges and joys that come with playing Santa. Yet, although both share this same spirit and wardrobe, the two are polar opposites: where six-foot Ouellette can Christmas carol and is more conventional, five-foot Ford is white-bearded and comedic. The two constantly keep in contact with each other.
