New England Aquarium has spotted a right whale named Tripelago for the 26th year in a row (with the exception of 2014), this time with a newborn by her side. Right whales are an endangered species, with only a little over 330 creatures left, due to fishing pollution and vessel strikes. This season, 9 right whale calves were born. The New England Aquarium is working hard to protect this species.
