After being treated for brain cancer at St. Jude Children's Hospital, Maddie Barber donated $30,000 to their research hospital. The money came from personal winnings she received at a Junior Livestock show. Instead of putting the money towards college or buying a car with the funds, Maddie was inspired to pay-forward the care and kindness she had received as a hospital patient. Everyone there was super nice, and it was a hard time, especially for my parents, but they got lots of support and so did I, explained Maddie. She is now cancer free!
