Saanya Bhandari Jain is a 22-year-old entrepreneur and climate activist from Delhi, India who has been selected to join the 2041 Climate Force expedition to Antarctica as a global ambassador. Saanya bagged the assignment thanks to her impressive research work on climate change and publications on sustainability, biodiversity and minimizing food wastage. Her passionate letter deeply impressed Robert Swan O.B.E., the first person to trek to both of Earth’s poles and the leader of the “carbon negative” expedition. Saanya will be joining an 80-member team comprising young leaders from every continent who will be trained to promote a more sustainable future for the planet. “I aim to use adventure and travel as a means to preserve the Earth — so that generations later, people are still able to witness the beauty of this magnificent planet,” says Saanya, and her teammates will undoubtedly share and echo the same sentiment.
