After two legal challenges, the high court of Norfolk, UK, approved the construction of two offshore windfarms. Vattenfall, a Swedish renewables firm, will begin construction of the Norfolk Vanguard windfarm and Norfolk Boreas windfarm starting in 2023. Upon completion of the project, the farms altogether will generate enough electricity to power 4 million UK homes. We'll be working even more closely now with local communities as we begin to take the project towards construction. This will include preparatory works on the ground, but also work with our local partners to make sure we get our plans absolutely right to maximize benefits to the region," said Danielle Lane, Vattenfall's UK boss.
