The owner of a cafe in Shankill, Co Dublin, made space available one day for a very special event. Volunteers cooked and served traditional Ukrainian borscht to about 150 Ukrainians, bringing comfort to those arriving in the country and may have trouble communicating or integrating with the community. The aim is to get people out to meet other Ukrainians because many of them are stuck in hotels and don't have any connections here yet, said Anatoliy Prymakov, who helps run the Ukrainian Crisis Centre in the area. Anna Zilenska, who fled Kyiv a month ago with her daughter, participated in the meal. It's very hard. We miss home, she said. It's nice to be here with other Ukrainians today."
