It's a moment that 9-year-old Yankees fan Derek Rodriguez will probably never forget. While attending a Blue Jays vs. Yankees ball game with his dad, Derek met Mike Lanzillota, who promised him, "One way or another, we're getting you a ball." Before the game was over, Lanzillota, an avid Blue Jays fan, had caught the home-run ball off the bat of Yankee Aaron Judge, Derek's favorite player. Without thinking twice, he handed it to Derek, who burst into tears and hugged him. Lanzillota told him, "When you're my age, you're going to have a chance to do this for some kid as well. So you promise me that." The story went viral, and Lanzillota has been amazed at its impact on people: "I'm hearing, 'Proud to be Canadian' and 'We need more kindness in the world.'"
