The University of Arizona recently began offering free tuition to students from indigenous tribes in Arizona through the Arizona Native Scholars Grant program. In 2021, over 400 Native students qualified for the grant. The institution's recognition of indigenous land and acknowledgment of the many financial barriers to higher education marks a step forward in equitable learning.
