Last Thursday afternoon, Governor Newsom signed into law that holds the state of California accountable to reduce single-use plastics by 25% by 2028. This is one of the most ambitious policies in the States in regards to environmental friendliness and pollution mitigation. Along with other deadlines, 65% of plastic goods sold in California must be recyclable by 2032.  Currently, less than 10% of plastic in the US is being recycled. By setting concrete deadlines for these goals, California is leading the states in taking action against plastic pollution.
