Titan the Loggerhead turtle was among eight turtles to be nursed and returned back to the ocean. A juvenile, Titan was gashed by a boat propeller, had a part of his front right flipper chewed off by a shark, and was attacked again by two other sharks. He was rescued and rehabilitated over the past winter and spring. The Turtle Back Zoo, located off the coast of South Orange, New Jersey is where the Sea Turtle Recovery group brings turtles such as Titan back to health. The group thus far has returned 85 turtles back to the ocean to date.
