The Fort Belknap Indian Community recently celebrated the third year of its swift fox recovery program. The swift fox is the latest extirpated species to return to Fort Belknap, joining other iconic prairie species successfully reintroduced to Indigenous lands. "After being absent for more than 50 years, the swift fox has returned to the grasslands of Fort Belknap and our people could not be prouder."
