When the imam of a mosque in Istanbul's Fatih district was about to perform his daily call to prayer, he heard a meowing sound. Nothing strange in a city full of felines, but when the meows persisted, he looked around and found a mother cat with her new-born kitten on the mosque's carpet, right under the pulpit.
