Tim Hortons, Canada’s favorite coffee and doughnut chain, has unveiled new eco-friendly cutlery, lids and sandwich wraps. The new compostable items are made from wood and fiber and will eliminate the use of an estimated 90 million single-use plastics a year across Canada. The new wrappers have been designed using 75% less material. “We recognize that given our scale, every small thing we do or change we make has the potential to add up to a big impact,” a Tim Hortons spokesperson said.
