Ukraine's National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater (Khnatob) is thriving in the war-torn city of Kharkiv, performing free concerts in underground car parks, performing for troops, and holding recitals in liberated towns. Despite the destruction, some members continue to tour internationally, highlighting the importance of keeping the Opera spirit alive. Director Oleksii Duhinov emphasizes the need for artists to keep training and performing in subterranean levels of their building, despite energy shortages predicted for winter. Despite the challenges, Khnatob is praising its commitment to its mission and calls for international support.
