Chef José Andrés' World Central Kitchen provided 30 thousand plates of food in 24 hours last Thursday, Oct 19, 2023, as humanitarians worked to feed countless families caught in the crossfire of violence in both Gaza and Israel. "Innocent people are caught in the middle of this volatile and escalating situation in both Gaza and Israel. In the midst of this violence, access to food and the means to cook for their loved ones is hampered," World Central Kitchen (WCK) wrote on its website. Setting up kitchens in Gaza and Israel, the chefs have worked with local kitchens to serve food to countless refugees in cities like Khan Younis in Gaza -- where many refugees are arriving upon evacuating from the north -- to Netanya in Israel, on the Mediterranean coast.
