In many places in the US, including the early coronavirus epicenter New York State, undocumented immigrant workers do not benefit FROM federal stimulus check support. Faced with job loss and empty fridges, immigrants increasingly struggle to feed their families. "Make the Road" is one of the initiatives that have emerged as part of the national #ShareMyCheck movement encouraging well-off citizens to donate their checks to people in need. The volunteers at Make the Road have already distributed more than $400,000 in direct cash assistance to thousands of affected community `member`s in their area.
