In light of the Lunar New Year of the Tiger, the World Wildlife Fund announced that the global tiger population has grown globally since 2010. The results show what can be achieved through long-term partnerships for species recovery," said Stuart Chapman, head of the Tiger Summit. Thirteen countries joined together in the undertaking, with some national parks doubling or even tripling their tiger populations. However, the WWF emphasized efforts and care are still needed as tigers face potential extinction in certain parts of the world due to poaching and trapping.
