As consumers become more aware of the negative impacts plastic packaging has on human health and the environment, there is a rising demand for compostable foodservice packaging, which are made from recyclable and plant-based materials. Not only are compostable packaging materials non-toxic and safer to use, they degrade more quickly and consume less energy in production compared to standard plastic.
